DESCRIPTION: \nThe Barcelona Techno Weeks are a series of events that foc
 us on a specific technological topic of interest for both academia and ind
 ustry. These events include keynote presentations by world experts\, netwo
 rking activities\, and a comprehensive course on solid state radiation det
 ection. CERN and ICCUB organized three editions of the Techno Week in the 
 past\, which focused on semiconductor radiation detectors in 2016\, 2018\,
  2021 and 2023.\nCourse on semiconductor detectors\nThe core of the 8th Te
 chno Week is a comprehensive in-person course on solid state radiation det
 ection\, which covers topics such as the physics of interaction of radiati
 on with matter\, signal formation in detectors\, different solid state rad
 iation and photon detection technologies\, detector analog and digital pul
 se processing readout circuits\, detector packaging and advanced interconn
 ect technologies and the use of radiation and photon detectors in scientif
 ic and industrial applications. The event also includes a participant post
 er session\, presentations from industry professionals and a series of lab
 oratories and social events.\nThe next edition will take place from the 13
 th to the 17th July 2026 and it will be in-person. The course is divided 
 into four sections: Sensors and Interconnects\, Microelectronics\, Detecto
 r Technologies\, and Applications.\nObjectives\n\nExplain fundamentals of 
 interaction of radiation with matter and signal formation.\nUnderstand dif
 ferent solid state radiation and photon detection technologies (including 
 monolithic sensors\, CMOS imagers\, SPAD sensors\, etc).\nReview detector 
 analog and digital pulse processing readout circuits (with emphasis in mic
 roelectronics and ASIC design).\nProvide an insight of packaging and advan
 ced interconnect technologies (hybrid sensors\, 3D integration\, etc).\nSu
 rvey the use of radiation and photon detectors in industrial applications.
 \nPresent new trends in radiation and photon detection.\n\nIn addition to 
 the lectures from experts\, the event includes a participant poster sessio
 n and presentations from industry professionals combined with a series of 
 laboratories and social events. \n \n\nWho it is aimed at\nThe event is 
 aimed at researchers\, postdocs\, PhD students\, and industry professional
 s working in fields such as particle detectors\, astronomy\, space\, medic
 al imaging\, scientific instrumentation\, material analysis\, neutron imag
 ing\, process monitoring and control. It offers a good opportunity for you
 ng researchers to meet with senior experts from academia and industry.\n\n
